Speaking & Thought Leadership

My philosophy: equity, inclusion, and justice.

My practice is built on the unshakable foundation that every difference is worth celebrating, every story deserves to be heard and every community has a right to fair quality of life.

I strive to level the playing field for all minority communities and remain an ally, a friend, and a partner for our diverse BIPOC and AAPI communities. I’m continually humbled by the immense passion, talent, innovation, and creativity that encompasses our community of immigrants and marginalized folks.

I will always stand for equality and believe that no matter your culture, economic background, and orientation all deserve access to equal opportunity and to be a part of a supportive community.

I also believe transparent communication is the key to building a sustainable community and thriving ecosystem of communities.

Consulting Services

My mission is to inspire and empower through creativity and cultural understanding. Through my consulting services, I build lasting partnerships with artists, organizations, and communities, creating a more inclusive, vibrant, and sustainable world through the arts.

I offer a comprehensive range of consulting services designed to empower artists, organizations, and communities through creative expression and cultural understanding. With a strong focus on equity and sustainability, I combine artistic expertise with community engagement strategies to develop tailored solutions that enhance the visual and cultural landscape.

Values:

  • Creativity and Innovation: I foster an environment that encourages experimentation, risk-taking, and originality in artistic expression and problem-solving.

  • Diversity and Inclusion: I actively seek to include diverse perspectives and voices in projects, ensuring that the work represents and engages a wide range of individuals and communities.

  • Collaboration and Partnership: I believe in the power of collaboration, working closely with clients and stakeholders to co-create solutions that reflect the unique needs and aspirations of each project.

  • Cultural Sensitivity and Respect: I approach every project with a deep understanding and respect for the cultural context in which it exists, ensuring that the work aligns with the values and traditions of the communities I serve.

  • Sustainability and Social Impact: I prioritize sustainable practices and social impact in the work, ensuring that projects have lasting positive effects on the environment and the communities they touch.

My consulting services cover a broad spectrum of artistic and community-focused areas, with specific deliverables tailored to each project's unique requirements:

  • Artistic Direction and Concept Development: I work closely with clients to develop innovative and culturally relevant artistic concepts, ensuring that projects are both visually compelling and aligned with community values.

  • Project Management and Coordination: I provide end-to-end project management services, including planning, budgeting, and logistics, to ensure that projects are executed smoothly and efficiently.

  • Community Engagement and Outreach: I design and implement tailored community engagement strategies, including workshops, events, and consultations, to foster participation and collaboration among diverse stakeholders.

My Facilitated Workshop Offerings

“Creative Resiliency in a Time of Crisis”

Amidst the pandemic and on-going systemic racism, artists and creatives with mission-driven practices are severely impacted. A lot of us lost gigs and opportunities that were going to sustain us for months and into the future perhaps. Come join this interactive session for artists, culture bearers and tenders on how to rest, stay resilient, work, collaborate, and manage our practices during such turbulent times. Let’s strategize, share best practices on adaptation, and learn resources on what to do next to maintain forward momentum for ourselves and as a community.

“Financial Strategies for Creatives”

Many of us feel embarrassed to talk about financial vulnerability but we shouldn’t be! This interactive session will guide individual artists in thinking about both the practical (emergency funds, safety net programs, debt management, taxes, negotiating with lenders) and offer resources to help freelance artists.

“Social & Digital Marketing: Promoting Your Work Online”

"Social & Digital Marketing: Promoting Your Work Online." This workshop will cover strategies and best practices for using and pivoting digital media effectively as a tool for sharing and promoting your creative practice.Topics will include defining your marketing goals; strategies for website, email marketing, and social media platforms on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
